Looking for a free public tennis court in Melbourne?
Baby 2.0 has been attending local ANZ Tennis Hot Shot classes for a while – and while we’re not members of a tennis club, he does like to play a casual game now and then. So I’m always on the lookout for free and open to public tennis courts near me.
A family tennis game is a healthy and cheap activity with the kids!
If your family and friends also like an occasional tennis game then here’s my guide to all the public tennis courts in Melbourne where you can play tennis for free. Never again will you be stuck with the question ‘where can I find free tennis courts near me?’ or ‘are there any tennis courts nearby?’ Ace!
Note that this list does not include tennis walls in Melbourne or indoor tennis courts in Melbourne, only free outdoor tennis courts.
Also if you prefer to book a Melbourne tennis court (and pay for tennis court hire) then Tennis Australia and each local council’s website has information about public tennis courts and tennis clubs. This includes instructions on how to book a tennis court in Melbourne. So with that, you’ll surely find all the bookable or cheap tennis courts Melbourne is hiding.
