Aman has tapped longtime collaborator, Kerry Hill Architects, to design the ultra-luxury brand’s next property, Aman Maldives.

Aman Maldives will feature a 52 key resort and 16 branded residences, located on a private island in the Vaavu atoll. The resort will be the 21st destination for Aman and the latest addition to its 35-strong collection.

In a media release, Aman described the site of Aman Maldives as “one of the most secluded and exclusive parts of the Maldives, know for its exceptional diving.” LATTE understands that Aman Maldives will arise at Foththeyo Island.

“The design and architecture embraces the simplicity and beauty of the environment, taking inspiration from the white coralline beaches and clear turquoise waters for which the destination is so renowned.”

Aman Maldives will comprise standalone pavilions ranging from one- to three-bedrooms, some of which on the main resort island and others on its tranquil borders – each with a private pool. Each accommodation will have its own private pool. Facilities on-site will include a variety of restaurants, a beach club and multiple private dining locations.

A core element of the Maldives’ oasis will the 2,638 square metre spa. To arise on its own private island dedicated to wellbeing, Aman Maldives’ expansive spa facilities includes two Spa Houses – a signature of Aman.

Aman Maldives joins a growing list of pipeline projects which are earmarked for Beverly Hills, Niseko and Bangkok, and more still to come.

Construction on Aman Maldives is already under way, with further details and a confirmed opening date to be revealed in due course.
